Author: Highland Agri
With over four decades of experience in Scottish Agriculture, I decided in 2024 to establish my own agricultural business, Highland Agri. I have developed the business to assist and support farmers and crofters across the north of Scotland and the Islands.
On finishing agricultural college, I started my career as a hill shepherd, quickly moving on to farm and estate management. Subsequently, I spent 11 years with the Department of Agriculture, where I managed the Livestock Inspection Team and the Crofting Agricultural Grant Scheme. From here, I spent three years with the Highland Machinery Ring before starting Highland Agri.
My knowledge and expertise comes from many years of hands on experience, including farming and managing one of Scotland’s most geographically challenging estates in Glen Shee. I understand the challenges faced by farmers and crofters. I’m able to appreciate their unique needs and work with my clients to fulfil their goals.
